Fully Vaccinated Travelers Eligible to Enter Canada Exempt from Quarantine Starting July 5, 2021

Effective July 5, 2021, fully vaccinated travelers eligible to enter Canada under the current restrictions will not be required to quarantine for 14 days. Travelers entering via air will also not be required to isolate at a government-approved hotel. Fully vaccinated means having received the full series of a vaccine, or a combination of vaccines approved by Canadian authorities which include Moderna, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, or Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) at least 14 days prior to travel. Individuals who are partially vaccinated, or fully vaccinated with vaccines not approved by Canadian authorities will be required to follow quarantine procedures.

Fully vaccinated travelers eligible under the new policy will need to present a vaccination certificate through the Government of Canada’s ArriveCan app, obtain a negative PCR test with the sample submitted 72 hours prior to travel, and take another PCR test on arrival. Travelers who test positive on arrival may be required to quarantine.
