Creating a myUSCIS Employer Account for H-1B Registrations

  1. Go to https://my.uscis.gov/ and click the “Create Account” button in the top-right corner.

2. Enter in your email address and click “Sign Up.” You will receive an email with an account verification link. Please click on this link to  to create a password.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This login and password should be created by an authorized signatory. An authorized signatory must be able to log into this account to review and electronically sign the H-1B cap registrations and representation form once the registration period opens.

3. You will be prompted to select a two-factor authentication method for login. Enter the code in the next screen.

4. You will then be provided a backup verification code to ensure long-term access to the account. Please click the “Export as PDF” button and send this attachment or a screenshot of this page to us. This will allow us to assist with access in the event that the point of contact handling immigration at your company changes.

5. Set five security questions to reset your password. We strongly recommend securely saving the questions and answers.

6. IMPORTANT: In the next screen, select the third option for an “Organizational Account.” Do not select “I am an applicant, petitioner, or requestor” because the first account type cannot be used for H-1B registrations.

7. After you click submit, you will be taken to “Your Company Account” page. You can stop here.

8. Goeschl Law will send you an invite to join a Company Group via email. Therefore, you do not need to do anything further after you see the webpage below.

As a reminder, when the registration period opens, an authorized signatory of the company must be able to access this account and electronically sign a G-28 notifying the USCIS of our representation as your attorney, as well as employer attestations for the H-1B registrations. After the registration period closes and the USCIS announces selected registrations, we will be able to file H-1B cap petitions for selected employees starting April 1st.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the attorney or firm representatives working with you on your company’s H-1B cap registration cases, or call our office at 415-805-3900.
